Experience
, I became a substitute teacher of the Moreno Valley Unified School District, during which I was assigned various different jobs ranging from grade K-12. I also was offered two long-term sub assignments at Val Verde High School and Moreno Valley High School for a Biology teachers position. During these assignments, each of which lasted 3 months, I was charged with designing lesson plans, grading works and applying them to an electronic ledger for student grades, scheduling parent-teacher conferences, creating emails for parents, students and staff members and coordinating with the science department for changes in the department curriculum and scheduling time for lab usage. I enjoy helping others reach a mastery of their course work that goes beyond just being able to find the right answer but true understanding of how all the pieces fit together. Being able to find that right learning strategy or perspective for a student in need in one of my favorite parts about teaching. I want to make a positive impact on young people's lives and I believe I can best do this through teaching them not only about the current topic but also how they can help themselves with that and any other subject in their future studies.
